You need the Bugger if you are compiling DataFlex 3.2 character mode programs, even if only occasionally. It works on all platforms: Linux, Unix, DOS or Windows console mode.
The Bugger is a package that you compile into your application where after you have access to a debugger capable of single-stepping, variable inspection and record buffer inspection.
And yes, it is amazing that the language lets you devise such a package.
